29] –– On Wed., Nov. 15 from 10 AM to 1 PM, there is a Public Service Commission hearing on Dominion pollution at Cove Point at 6 St. Paul St., 16th Floor, William Donald Schaefer Tower, Baltimore 21202. We Are Cove Point is urging concerned citizens to attend the hearing. Dominion Energy wants to change its existing permit with the Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) to allow it to send more pollution into Cove Point's air. This is not only terrible for the thousands of people living near the fracked gas export terminal Dominion is building in Cove Point, but it would also set a harmful precedent for other gas infrastructure projects.
Two public hearings have already been held. This is the hearing where the PSC commissioners will hear arguments from the official filers and potentially make a decision in the matter. Dominion, the Power Plant Research Program of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and AMP Creeks Council will make presentations.
